LXE, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc., helps companies extend information systems to mobile workers in demanding environments by providing easy-to-use, tough and reliable wirelessly enabled computers. LXE rugged mobile computers are used by logistics, manufacturing and service organizations worldwide to increase productivity, customer service and information velocity.

Since 1970, LXE has developed innovative, reliable and easy-to-use mobile computers with integrated wireless and auto-ID technologies, backed by award-winning customer support. Today, LXE fosters long-term relationships with a network of technology, software and reseller partners to create winning solutions based on a range of hand-held, vehicle-mounted and wearable mobile computers.

Solutions At-A-Glance

LXE computers are relied on to support the toughest applications: fork-lift truck drivers in a car plant keeping the production line running by delivering parts to the line-side; food-service order pickers selecting thousands of items per day to deliver perfect-orders to the restaurant trade; reach-crane operators in a container terminal keeping the vessel on schedule by unloading millions of dollars of freight against the clock.

LXE products are tough and reliable: they need to be in order to survive harsh conditions and intensive usage in mission-critical processes. LXE mobile computers are designed to be rugged from the ground-up. The company takes advantage of 40 years of industry experience to select materials and manufacturing processes that deliver reliability in the harshest of environments. That is why seven out of the 10 largest CPG companies count on LXE's wireless computers for their facilities.

LXE Channel Focus

In 2008, LXE increased its commitment to the channel market by announcing a strategic channel partnership with ScanSource Inc., an industry-leading distributor of AIDC and point-of-sale solutions. Under the agreement, ScanSource will distribute the entire LXE product line of rugged mobile computers throughout the United States and Canada. The division already sells its product line through BlueStar, a leading solutions-based distributor of Point-of-Sale, bar coding, data collection, radio frequency identification (RFID), and wireless mobility products.
